Second and Third Offense DUI/OWI Attorneys in Des Moines, Iowa

The Seriousness of Second and Third DUI Charges

Even with a conviction, you may soon return to life as it was before a first-time driving under the influence (DUI) arrest. A second or third DUI arrest is a different matter altogether. If convicted, you may lose your driving privileges for a very long time and go to prison.

Attorney Kent Balduchi works closely with clients from Des Moines, Ankeny, and throughout Iowa in a respectful manner. He applies his knowledge and experience to the challenge of mitigating the damage after a DUI arrest.

Understanding Your Options

A favorable outcome may come about by reopening the case of your first DUI conviction. It may also mean examining in great detail the circumstances of your current charges, including:

  • The traffic stop: Did the police officer have probable cause to pull you over?

  • Blood alcohol tests and/or sobriety tests (breath, blood, urine, and/or performance tests such as “walk the line”): Were they administered lawfully? Is there reason to doubt the validity of the results?

Only a detailed review of your DUI arrest will allow Mr. Balduchi to determine weak points in the prosecution’s case and plan an aggressive defense on your behalf.
